Providing 50 watts per channel, into 8 ohms, from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with no more than .08 percent total harmonic distortion, the DRA297 delivers solid, reliable audio performance even when driving both A and B speaker systems at the same time. The circuit handling low-level signals have been divided into separate blocks to ensure that influences from these signals on each other are held to an absolute minimum. This chassis design, known as Signal Level Divided Construction (SLDC), preserves the purity of the signal, allowing it to be reproduced with much greater fidelity and clarity.

Enough Sound To Go Around

The DRA297 provides a PRE OUT terminal that lets you connect another amp so that you can enjoy the same source in sub-room 1 that you have in the main room. The versatile A-B speaker switching feature lets you listen to music in a second sub-room by simply selecting Speaker System B. The volume from the PRE OUT terminals is linked to the DRA297's master volume control. External remote control equipment including IR re-transmitters and IR remote receivers can be connected to the DRA297's IR remote input and output terminals.

More Entertainment Options

You can enjoy playing back the music loaded on your iPod through the DRA297 when the ASD1R, Denon's original Control Dock for iPod (sold separately), is connected to the dedicated control terminal of the receiver. The iPod can also be controlled via the remote controller supplied with the DRA297. This features supports 3rd-generation and later iPods equipped with a Dock connection. What's more, with the purchase of an optional XM Mini-Tuner and subscription to XM Satellite Radio, you can enjoy this exciting entertainment format through the DRA297.

The DRA297 has several features that can add to your entertainment experience. Stereo video sources, such as hi-fi VCR, stereo TV, and DVD can all be easily connected to the DRA297's DVD/VDP, VCR and Video Aux terminals. The Video Select Function allows you to select a video source, and then select an alternate audio input source, ideal for simulcasting, as well as watching TV sports programs while listening to radio commentary. The DRA297 includes random preset memory tuning for 56 stations (AM/FM/XM). FM stations can be searched by the tuner, and automatically stored in the preset memory up to 56 stations, which is great for locales with many FM stations. Thanks to PLL circuit design, reception drift is a thing of the past.
