Coming in for iPod or iPhone Service
- Make notes about the problem(s) you are having. When problems occur, write a note with the time, what
you were doing on the device, and exactly what happened (error messages,
odd sounds, restarts, etc.)
- Verify that you have the data (music, photos,
applications, etc.) stored on your device backed up (if you can). The music that you loaded onto your iPod should be
stored on your computer. If you no longer have the files that were loaded
onto your device, we can usually back them up for an additional charge
(before repairs that require the iPod to be erased.)
- Try the iPod 5Rs troubleshooting steps to conquer many
iPod problems at home. At www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs you can
get step-by-step instructions on resetting, retrying, restarting,
reinstalling, and restoring your iPod & iTunes. If these steps don't
resolve your iPod problems, it's time to come in for a repair.
